Located in historic farm buildings, some dating back to 1875, HIA classrooms are purposefully designed for small classes of 10–12 pupils.

This unique farm-based setting fosters a safe, calm, and focused learning environment, free from the distractions of modern-day schooling.

Regular access to Pure Venom Reptile Park provides pupils with daily, meaningful opportunities to explore nature and the environment as part of their learning.

Focused Learning Environment
A focused learning environment is one where every child feels calm, supported, and ready to learn. At our school, we place children at the heart of everything we do, creating spaces where they feel safe, confident, and encouraged to do their best.

Small class sizes mean that each child is known, valued, and supported. Teachers have the time to listen, guide, and help pupils learn in ways that suit their individual strengths and learning styles. Lessons are engaging and well-structured, helping children stay interested while developing independence and self-belief.

Our classrooms are peaceful and well-organised, helping children concentrate without unnecessary distractions. Clear routines and expectations help pupils feel secure and confident, allowing them to focus on learning, asking questions, and enjoying their school day. Technology is used thoughtfully to support understanding and curiosity, not to overwhelm or distract.

By creating a calm, caring, and purposeful environment, we help children develop good learning habits, a positive attitude towards school, and the confidence to reach their full potential.
